Frequently Asked Questions
What is a device license?
Each device you want to monitor and manage remotely requires one device license (CAL). You can add licenses to an active subscription at any time.
Can I change my device count later?
Adding devices: yes, at any time, from the portal. The extra licenses are available as soon as the change is processed.
Reducing devices: the portal has no in-place decrease — to move to a smaller count, cancel your subscription and create a new one at the size you want, then re-activate the devices you are keeping against it. Cancellation is non-refundable and re-activation is done on each device, so it is worth planning. If a reduction does reach your subscription another way (for example through the Stripe billing portal) we apply it: devices above the new count are released least-recently-seen first, and each one is deactivated rather than deleted, so you can restore it from the Devices page once a seat frees up.
